Grandview Elementary School’s Zebra Strings perform live in concert on April 20 in Burleson with The Haygoods of Branson, Missouri before a sold-out crowd of over 1,000

The Zebra Strings — Grandview Elementary School students who are quite proficient in playing the violin and other stringed instruments, performed before a sold-out crowd of over 1,000 on Friday evening, April 20, with The Haygoods, one of Branson, Missouri’s most popular music acts. The concert helped raise funds that will allow 28 of the students to travel to Branson in May without the students incurring any costs. Local fundraising has covered the costs of bus transportation, hotel, food, admission to theaters, and a little spending money — thanks in part to Robert Stewart, CEO of Grandview Bank.

Over 300 Grandview Elementary students play the violin FIVE DAYS A WEEK, thus learning an appreciation for the performing arts. Grandview is the only elementary school with this distinction that I know of in North Texas, and possibly in ALL of Texas.

Very well done!
